Project Details
Company: The Pokémon Company International (TPCi)
Brief: Following feedback from employees and leadership, there was a need to develop an engaging eLearning experience aligning with the company's values of innovation and quality. Despite prior announcements, the eLearning Compliance training from a third party was not widely adopted. Furthermore, it lacked customization for our international offices in the UK and Ireland, resulting in training and standards that were not effectively translated within their cultural and legal contexts.

The Solution
The introduction of a gamified Compliance Training Series aimed at addressing lesser-known compliance issues and procedures through an immersive, first-person approach. This initiative involved close collaboration with our Legal, People and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) teams across both our headquarters and international offices.

To lay out the comprehensive plan for TPCi's Compliance Training, I collaborated on a storyboard and outline. Starting with Sexual Harassment Prevention, I integrated engaging elements designed to challenge conventional beliefs, ensuring sustained learner engagement on a topic often approached with routine training methods.

In partnership with the Communications team, the strategy involves releasing the eLearning Compliance Training series in groups of three. For the Sexual Harassment Prevention module, the training is structured to include an in-classroom session for managers after they complete the eLearning portion. This session is tailored to delve deeper into relevant laws, TPCi's code of conduct, and case studies.

The Result
The Compliance Reporting Tool has experienced a noticeable surge in usage, indicating a growing commitment to compliance and reporting standards.

A palpable wave of excitement has swept through the company, fueled by the engaging Learning and Development initiatives. Team members are now eagerly participating in the enriched training experience.

With the successful implementation, a robust process has been established for seamless collaboration with other business units. As TPCi ventures into creating more eLearning content, a structured framework is in place to ensure effective and harmonious cooperation.
